When starting the designs, my goal was to maintain the earthy elegance that Two Be Wed had established. I was specifically inspired by the colors and patterns on the selected China and used similar flourishes to frame the typography. We chose a burgundy, ivory, wheat and bronze color combination. The envelopes are bronze metallic with ivory-ink calligraphy. The invitations and response cards are double-thick cream paper with a satin finish. The suite is completed with burgundy belly bands to complement the color of the bride and groom’s names on the invitations. This same matte burgundy paper was used to create circular escort cards with custom calligraphy.  The two-in-one menu includes typography and paper consistent with the invitation suite and a fold-up flap with matching calligraphy to feature guests’ names.

This suite is playful and whimsical with hand-drawn illustrations and multiple typefaces. The idea was to add a luxurious factor with textures and paper selection, which is the most eye-catching aspect of it all. Both the pocket enclosure and the response card envelope are a classic matte finish in old lace (nude/blush color). The invitation insert and response card are printed on a beautiful gray 110 lb. plike paper, which incredibly smooth and almost impossible to tear. The outer envelope and the menu are both a beautiful white and heavily textured mulberry paper with feathered edges. The ribbon is a hand-dyed ombre (sand to white) silk satin. The place cards are designed to be larger than average to match the grand size of the tablescape. The tented place cards feature portions of the illustrations from the invitation card and ebony-colored custom calligraphy.  

Invitations: Laser-cut cards; hand-cut envelope liners from the pages of multiple Jane Austen novels; clear vellum envelopes; digitally printed addresses on metallic gold, wrap-around labels

Party favors: Laser-cut bookmarks attached to chocolate with custom book-page belly bands

One of our favorite shots of our photo shoot was duplexed to the back of high-quality Crane's Lettra 110# paper to create the incredible menus. The front featured both silver foil and crisp letterpressed text, and the menus were finished with maroon edge painting.

Arabic meets English and invites some cultural humor over for dinner. These greeting cards are part of the KROOT line.

The thank you cards left the final impression on this event--a pharmacist's graduation party. One of the lighthearted images from our photo shoot, a fun shot of papers being thrown in the air, was duplexed to the back of the card. The front included a silver foil thank you to start off a special note. 

Flipbooks were distributed at the event as party favors.
